In Texas, the I-35 and I-69 corridors carry a high volume of traffic, including commercial trucks. There is little doubt that mobility improvements, both road and rail, are needed to keep pace with today's demand as well as to keep Texans moving in the future.

To better plan for these improvements and bring in more local input, TxDOT has set up numerous corridor segment committees. For the I-35 Corridor, there are four segment committees and five segment committees for the I-69 Corridor.

These segment committees will provide input regarding priority projects in their area, as well advise TxDOT on the planning and development. In addition, these committees will also have input on environmental studies for projects that are proposed for construction. These comments will help assist in identifying a project location.
